One Fire appliance with a crew of six from Liskeard Community Fire Station attended a chimney fire incident today. Firefighters used small tools, chimney rods and stirrup pump to extinguish the flames.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
