One crew from Bude Community Fire Station attended a Chimney fire in Stratton. Firefighters used small tools and a Thermal Imaging Camera to check the fire was extinguished.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
