Crews from Bude attended a small fire behind the back plate of the woodburner, crews removed the woodburner using small tools and extinguished the fire using chimney rods.

During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
