Horse Rescued After Being Found In a Swimming Pool

Appliances from Wadebridge, Bodmin and St Austell with specialist water and line rescue equipment was mobilised to an incident where a 5 year old, 14.2hh Connemara horse had become stuck in a swimming pool. The pool measured 5 x 4 metres and was 1.5 metres deep. Firefighters looped a strop around the back end of the animal, using a halter firefighters encouraged 'Candy' out of the pool pulling on both the halter and strop. Candy was returned unhurt back to her owners.
