Five firefighters on one appliance from Wadebridge attended a call to a chimney fire. Crews removed a wood burning stove from the property and used a stirrup pump, rods and thermal imaging camera on the fire. The chimney was difficult, crews used a triple extension ladder and a roof ladder to access the top of the flue.

During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
