The Fire Service attended a gorse fire in the Coverack area near St Kevern Beacon. Initially one appliance was mobilised from St Keverne. On arrival, with strong winds fanning the fire, the crews asked for an additional pumping appliance. A further appliance was mobilised from Helston along with a Wholetime Officer. The crews used beaters and let the fire hit a natural break. The fire was extinguished by the crews.
