Chimney Fire

Tresco were mobilised to this incident, on arrival the crew found that the fire involved a log burner, the log burner was removed from the property, crews used a triple extension ladder, roof ladder, hosereel and chimney rods to extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
