One appliance from Bodmin was mobilised to this incident, on arrival the crew found the fire involved a wood burner, stirrup pump and chimney rods were used to extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
