Fire crews from Lostwithiel and Bodmin Community Fire Stations were quickly on scene at a reported kitchen fire in the Lostwithiel area. Quick intervention from the first attending appliance from Lostwithiel knocked down a small fire in the kitchen which was believed to have started in the fuse board. Western Power were requested to attend to isolate power to the property. The occupants were woken in the middle of the night by their smoke alarm. Highlighting the importance of a working smoke alarm.
