Co-Responder Incidents
Helston, Mullion, St Keverne and St Ives at 03/04/2017 01:35
Co-Responder crews have been assisting the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) in Helston, Mullion, St Keverne and St Ives, to patients that have needed co-responder care until the arrival of the paramedics.
From 1 April 2015 until 1 December 2016, we have attended 1301 co-responder calls.
Firefighters from six community fire stations in Cornwall help the community by not only providing fire cover but also act as a co-response resource in medical care, through partnership with SWASFT. The scheme has been running since 1999, serving the communities of St. Keverne, St. Ives, Mullion, St. Mawes, Helston and Polruan.
