Six firefighters on one appliance from St Just attended a call to a property with a chimney fire. Crews used a chimney kit and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
