One appliance from Hayle extinguished a bin fire at Gwithian Towans this afternoon using one hosereel.
The fire was caused by a carelessly discarded disposable barbecue that had been put into the bin whilst still hot. Please take care when disposing of barbecues ensuring they have been extinguished and left to cool before placing them in the refuse bin.
