Today our Co-Responders form St. Ives, Polruan and St. Kevern have assisted South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with a number of calls. Crews monitored patients until the arrival of an Ambulance

From 1 April 2015 until 1 December 2016, we have attended 1301 co-responder calls.
Firefighters from six Community Fire Stations in Cornwall help the community by not only providing fire cover but also act as a co-response resource in medical care, through partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT). The scheme has been running since 1999, serving the communities of St. Keverne, St. Ives, Mullion, St. Mawes, Helston and Polruan.
