Chimney Fire

Crews from Polruan and Looe were mobilised to a chimney fire. The access to the flue of the log burner involved was limited, 1 Hose Reel Jet, 1 Triple Extension Ladder and 1 Roof Ladder were used to extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
