Two appliances from Bodmin Community Fire Station, and One appliance from Lostwithiel Community Fire Station responded to this incident. On arrival a basement fire was discovered. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus sets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. The fire was caused by a tumble dryer and has been classified as accidental.

The family were alerted by a working smoke alarm system, and evacuated the property.
