Barn Fire

Two appliances with 10 firefighters attended a call to an derelict chicken shed on fire. The barn measured 40 x 8 metres, was single storey and made of wood, the building was well alight on crews arrival. Wearing breathing apparatus crews located a fire within the workshop and used one hose reel jet on the fire. Devon and Cornwall Police were requested to attend as the cause of the fire was doubtful. At 18:25 it was confirmed that the fire had been extinguished.
