4 Pump Fire At Shop With Flats Above

Firefighters from Falmouth, Truro and Redruth attended following a report of a fire in an archway. Crews found that the fire had spread to a shop, measuring about 4 metres by 10 metres, with flats above. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereels, one jet and a thermal imaging camera to see the extent of the fire and extinguish it. Crews then continued to check for pockets of fire by cutting away at floorboards and beams. An investigation into the cause is underway by Fire Investigation Officers and the Arson Task Force have been notified.
