One fire appliance from Truro were mobilised to lots of black smoke in Newham, Truro at 08:40 this morning. On crews arrival they confirmed that there was a large tyre vat on fire, this was well alight. Crews used two breathing apparatus and one main jet on the fire. Further resources were requested to attend, appliances from Truro and Tolvaddon were mobilised to the scene with a total of 12 crew. At 09:16 crews confirmed that the fire was out and crews were damping down remaining hot spots.
