On receipt of this call stating two cows were trapped in the river, appliances from Wadebridge and Bodmin, along with water rescue teams from Bude and St. Austell, and a line rescue vehicle from Tolvaddon, with two wholetime officers were mobilised, on arrival it was confirmed that two cows needed rescuing from the river, the crews were delayed a considerable time getting the cattle to a safe location, where they were recovered to dry land using winching equipment and animal harnesses. Crews started returning to their home stations by approximately 2230 hours.
