Following a call from a member of the public stating that smoke was issuing from a derelict building in Newquay, two fire appliances from Newquay Community Fire Station, along with a whole time officer were mobilised.

At 20:30 a ‘Make pumps 3’ request has been made and an additional appliance from St Columb has been mobilised.

At 20:48 a ‘Make pumps 4’ request has been made and a further appliance from Perranporth has been mobilised.

At 21:23 a message from the incident ground states that good progress is being made and that the fire is now believed to be out.
