Crews from St Austell and Mevagissey Fires are currently attending a fire involving tyres. They are using hosereels and jets to contain the fire but will be allowing the tyres to burn out.

Advice to members of the public in the area is to keep doors and windows closed. At this time the plume of smoke is blowing towards Trewoon.

Further information will be added as and when updates from the incident are received.

All Fire service personnel have now left the incident. The fire will smoulder for the next few days and will re-inspect periodically.
