Make Pumps Four Fire

In response to a call reporting that smoke could be seen coming from a premises on Wharf Road appliances from St Ives and Hayle were dispatched.
On arrival firefighters discovered smoke coming from the building and a make pumps four message was received. In response to this a further appliance from Penzance was sent along with support vehicles from St Just, Falmouth, Truro, and Helston.
A fire in a ground floor storage room was discovered. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus sets, a hose reel, and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
The cause of this incident has been classed as accidental.
