Sixteen firefighters on three appliances from Truro and St Austell attended a call to a property fire. The only 999 call came from a concerned neighbour to a property with smoke coming from it. Crews confirmed that there was 'smoke issuing', crews tackled the fire using two breathing apparatus one hose reel jet and a safety jet. The fire in two storey domestic property crews located the fire and extinguished t, also isolating the gas and electricity supply to the building. One occupant of the property was taken top hospital via land ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation. Once the fire had been extinguished the property was ventilated naturally and the adjoining properties roof space and garage was checked top ensure that the fire had not spread.
