At 12:57 a call was received to a fire in an unoccupied farm house. Two crews from Penzance were mobilised to the scene, on crews arrival they made the incident 'Persons reported' and also requested the attendance of further fire appliances and a water carrier. A total of 25 fire service staff attended on fire appliances from Penzance, St Just, Hayle and a Water Carrier from Helston. The two storey domestic property measured 15 x 20 metres and crews entered the building initially wearing two breathing apparatus using one hose reel jet and also a safety jet. Fire-fighters located the fire underneath a staircase in the centre of the building. Western Power engineers were requested to attend the property to isolate the power supply. Usont four breathing apparatus teams searched the first and ground floor of the building and confirmed 'all persons accounted for'. At 14:17 crews confirmed that the fire had been extinguished and after a fire investigation was confirmed as having started accidentally. There are no more details available on this incident.
