House Fire

Two fire appliances from Newquay Community Fire Station are in attendance at a fire in a two-storey house. The fire is on the ground floor and firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, are using two horsereels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

Update 1120hrs: The property measures 12 metres by 12 metres and the fire involved a tumble dryer on the ground floor. Firefighters have extinguished the fire and are now ventilating to remove the smoke from the building.

Update 1200hrs: Fire crews have completed clearing the smoke from the building and ensuring that the fire is fully extinguished. The cause of the fire is accidental.
