A 999 call to alarms sounding in a block of flats was received at 15:43 this afternoon. The concerned caller stated that there was also a smell of burning in the block of flats. Appliances from Truro and Tolvaddon were mobilised to the scene. On crews arrival they confirmed that there was a fire in the lounge of a ground floor flat. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one safety jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. One casualty was out of the flat on the Fire services arrival, an Ambulance was requested to attend the incident. There are no more details available on this incident.
