On receipt of this call, appliances from Fowey and Lostwithiel as well a wholetime officer were mobilised to this incident.
On arrival the crews found a fire in the laundry room of a large residential premise, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a high pressure hosereel jet. The positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the area. The cause was accidental. The alarm was raised by a working smoke detection system.
