Two appliances with 9 firefighters on board were mobilised from Padstow to a reported kitchen fire. On crews arrival at scene a request was made for a third appliance to attend - one appliance from Wadebridge was also mobilised to the scene. The fire was in a building of three floors, crews confirmed the fire was in the boiler room and crews initially used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher. Firefighters isolated the utility supplies to the property and were using water supplied from a hydrant on Customs house quay. At 10:42 crews confirmed that the fire was out and a positive pressure ventilation fan was in use to ventilate and clear smoke from the building.
