Crews from St Austell and Fowey Community Fire Stations along with a whole time officer attended to reports of a tumble dryer on fire. On arrival the crews used breathing apparatus to search the property and determine the fire was already out. Western Power were informed to inspect an internal electric cable.

Fires happen when you least expect them, often during the night. They also spread very quickly, damaging property, killing and injuring people. A smoke alarm is a warning device that detects smoke at the earliest stages of a fire. When it detects a fire, it will make a piercing noise to alert or wake you.
