On receipt of this initial call appliances from Perranporth were mobilised, mutlple calsl were being received and when on scene further resources were requested and an appliance from Tolvaddon was mobilised, a large area of gorse was alight and encroaching on nearby properties, further resources were requested and attended from Tolvaddon, Hayle and Truro, crews engaged in setting up ground monitors and were using beaters at the incident, two wholetime officers were also in attendance.

Update 2030 hours: A large area of gorse is well alight, the incident has been sectorised and crews have set up ground monitors and using beaters at this time.

Update 2145 hours: The fire in one sector has now been extinguished, there are two high pressure hosereel jets in use continuing to fight the fire, the incident is likely to be scaled down soon.

Update 0015 hours: The fire has now been extinguished, crews remained for a while monitoring hot spots, all crews have now returned to their respective stations.
