Controlled Burning

At 12:55 the Critical Control Centre received a number of calls reporting a fire in Webber Street, Falmouth. Two appliances from Falmouth and a wholetime officer were mobilised to the incident. Crews investigated smoke issuing from the area and located a controlled burn. Using breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets Firefighters extinguished the fire, due its location and proximity to other buildings.

At 13:26 the fire was confirmed as extinguished and one appliance remained at the incident to monitor hotspots and damp down. The remaining appliance returned to Falmouth Fire Station at 13:51.
