One appliance from St Columb and a Flexi Duty Officer were mobilised on receipt of a call to Carbon Monoxide alarm sounding. On arrival crew made it persons reported and a second appliance from St Dennis was mobilised. The crew wearing two sets of breathing apparatus made forced entry to the property where there was a strong smell of domestic heating oil and assisted the elderly female occupier from the premise. Gas monitor gave readings of 40 parts per million which is believed to have been caused by a faulty oil fired rayburn. An ambulance was requested for the occupier just to check her over and the rayburn was isolated and the property ventilated.
