Property Fire (Update)

We are currently dealing with a six pump fire involving a leisure complex on a holiday campsite. There are appliances there from Newquay, St Dennis, St Columb, Perranporth, St Austell, Truro and specialist appliances from Wadebridge and Launceston along with three Flexi Duty Officers.

** Update 07:56 **
At 06:44 the incident command unit requested make pumps 8. Appliances were mobilised from Tolvaddon and Falmouth Fire Stations. The Welfare Unit from St Dennis Fire Station was also mobilised at 07:00 to provide assistance.

**Update 09:36 **
The incident is now starting to be scaled down, with some appliances returning to home stations. 3 pumps, aerial ladder platform and two water carriers remain in attendance.

** Update 12:36 **
Two pumps, two water carriers, incident command unit, welfare unit and the aerial ladder platform remain at this incident. Crews are continuing to damp down areas using main jets and the aerial ladder platform.

** Update 16:54 **
Crews on scene are still damping down and monitoring any hotspots. Crews have been relieved during the day by other firefighters and appliances. Two pumps, two water carriers, an aerial ladder platform and welfare unit remain at the incident.

** Update 01:50 17/12/2017 **
Crews on scene are still damping down and monitoring any hotspots. Appliances have been scaled down to, one from Falmouth and one from St Columb and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Newquay and the water carrier from Wadebridge.

** Update 07:44 **
The incident has now been scaled down to one pump from Perranporth and one water carrier from Wadebridge. A wholetime officer will be attending the scene this morning.

We are working with our partner agencies from Devon and Cornwall Police, South West Ambulance, Environment Agency and Western Power Distribution.

Further details will follow when available.

Crews have now left the scene of this incident.
