Dangerous Structures

Newquay at 27/12/2017 00:01

At 0001 the Critical Control Centre received a call from a Newquay Residential Home where a first floor window had been blown out of its frame due to high winds and bad weather in the area. At 0002 a call was received from a hotel in Newquay reporting that a large window had been blown out of its frame and was leaning against a tree. Two appliances from Newquay Fire Station were mobilized, one to each address.

At the residential home our crews assisted in taking a resident to a safe location in the property, ensuring the window was safe and requested a company to board up the window.
A large ground floor window had broken at the hotel. The crew removed the glass and made the area safe. The incident was handed over to the hotel staff to arrange boarding up.
