At 16:53 the Critical Control Centre received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting a fire in bushes near Trekenning Roundabout.

An appliance from St Columb Major Fire Station were mobilized and went to investigate. The crew found a bonfire, supervised by a local farmer and under control.

A number of repeat calls were received about this bonfire due to its proximity to the main road. The crew returned to the farm, spoke to the farmer and extinguished the bonfire.
