Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received multiple calls from members of the public reporting a Fire at a property in Barbican Hill, East Looe.

Appliances from Looe, Liskeard, Polruan and Saltash Community Fire Stations along with a whole time officer were immediately mobilised by Critical Control.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed the property was well alight.

Crews are currently using four breathing apparatus, four hose reel jets and three main jets to tackle the fire.

Update @ 23:47 - Detached bungalow completely destroyed by fire. Two hose reel jets are still in use, damping down.

Update @ 03:25 - All crews have returned to their home station and the scene has been left in the hands of Devon and Cornwall Police.
