Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a sight and smell of smoke in the distance near to Salmon Row, Truro.
One pump from Truro Community Fire Station was immediately mobilised by Fire Control.
On arrival the officer in charge found a bonfire and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Tell the Critical Control Operator:
• Your location.
• Time you intend to start burning.
• Confirm when you have finished burning.
This helps us avoid sending fire engines to false alarms when they could be responding to a real emergency.
