At 14:14 Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, on the A38 near Landrake.
One pump from Saltash, one pump from Liskeard, the Rescue Tender from Bodmin and an Officer were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival the crews confirmed a two vehicle road traffic collision, with one person trapped. Crash rescue equipment was used to release the casualty from the vehicle.
Crews made the vehicle safe and left the casualty in the care of the South West Ambulance service.
