Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received multiple calls reporting a road traffic collision on the A39 near to Helstone.

One pump from Delabole, one pump from Wadebridge, the rescue tender from Bodmin Community Fire Station and a whole time officer were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed the location as B3266, Helstone, a two vehicle road traffic collision, persons trapped with Police, Ambulance and Air Ambulance in attendance.

Crews used crash rescue equipment to release the casualties, who were left in the care of the Ambulance service.

Crews are detained on scene making the vehicles safe and making up their equipment.
