Chimney Fire

Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call regarding a chimney fire at Tregellast Parc, St Keverne. One appliance from St Keverne Community Fire Station was mobilised to the incident.
On arrival crews found the chimney well alight. Firefighters used a chimney rod to extinguish the fire.
During 2015/16 Cornwall firefighters tackled 124 chimney fires. Most chimney fires are preventable by having them swept regularly.
