At 0608 the Critical Control Centre at Tolvaddon mobilised two appliances from Launceston and a wholetime officer to a report of an industrial building on fire.

At 06:34hrs the attending appliance requested to make pumps 4 as the building was well alight. The Critical Control Centre immediate mobilized two additional appliances, one from Callington and another from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue in Holsworthy.

A water carrier from Liskeard, incident command unit from St Just and an Operational Support Vehicle from Falmouth were also mobilized.

We have requested support from our colleagues at Devon and Cornwall Police to close Under Lane in Launceston.

Good progress is being made. The Environment Agency is now in attendance and monitoring any run off from the incident.

** Update 10:42 **
Good progress has been made and we will be scaling down the attendance at this incident soon. Our Welfare Unit from St Dennis has been in attendance for a short time to provide refreshments to the firefighters.

** Update 12:03 **

Crews damping down hot spots. Fire investigation team required for incident. All appliances have returned. Launceston Fire Station will attend later in the day for inspection.

** Update 15:08 **

Fire investigation now complete, no further visits required. There are no further details for this incident.
