Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a fire at a property in Upton Towans, Hayle. One pump from Hayle and one pump from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station along with a whole time officer was immediately mobilised by Fire Control.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a fire within the bathroom area of the property. Crews extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a fire extinguisher. Crews ventilated the property and confirmed the fire was accidental and confined.
The incident was left safe and in the hands of the occupants.
