Fire in a stable

Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a fire at a stable in Bollowal, St Just. One pump from St Just, one pump from Penzance Community Fire Station and a wholetime officer was immediately mobilised by Critical Control.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed flames issuing and ‘Made Pumps Three’. One pumps from Hayle Community Fire Station, who were redirected from a standby at Penzance Community Fire Station. Crews used two breathing apparatus under rapid deployment and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews confirmed the fire as accidental and completed a handover form. The incident was left safe and in the hands of the occupants.
