Tractor Fire

Two appliances from Truro Fire Station were mobilized to a reported tractor and trailer on fire in a country lane between Probus and Trispen.
When the crews arrived the tractor and trailer were well alight and the fire had spread to the nearby hedgerow. Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to tackle the fire. Due to the amount of water required the appliances shuttled water from a nearby hydrant.
At 17:29 the fire was confirmed as extinguished, accidental and spread. The incident was left in the hands of Cornwall Highways and Devon and Cornwall Police.
