Vehicle Fire

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a vehicle fire on the A392, Newquay. One pump from Newquay Community Fire Station was immediately mobilised by Critical Control.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed the vehicle was well alight. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus under stage one and two hose reel jets. Crews closed the carriageway for firefighter safety.
The carriageway has now been reopened and the incident was left safe and in the hands of the owners.
