Property Fire

On receipt of this call from a neighbour stating that a fire alarm was sounding at a property and the lights were on and no answer from the premises, the incident was classified as 'persons reported' by the Control Operator and both appliances from Tolvaddon were mobilised, on arrival the crew found a fire in an upstairs flat measuring four by four metres, crews forced entry and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a high pressure hose reel, one male casualty was rescued from the building, the casualty was taken into the care of attending ambulance crew. Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel proceeded to extinguish the fire involving a cooker and then proceeded to ventilate the property. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police, who were in attendance.
