After receipt of this call both appliances from Truro were mobilised, on arrival the crews found a barn well alight and requested further resources of two further appliances and a water carrier, further resources were mobilised from Tolvaddon and Helston as well as support resources from Falmouth and St. Just. The fire involved a barn measuring approximately fifteen by twenty metres, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used main jets and high pressure hosereels at the scene to extinguish the fire. Crews were delayed for some time, with the last resource returning to their home station by 2030 hours.
