Fire Involving Christmas Decorations

Cornwall Terrace, Penzance at 26/12/2004 16:33

2 appliances from Penzance attended when a neighbour investigated a smoke detector actuating and could see a fire in a house through a window. The crews forced an entry into the house and quickly extinguished the small fire that involved Christmas decorations.

Thankfully the house had working smoke detectors fitted, which raised the alarm that there was a fire very quickly. Without them the fire may have taken hold, undiscovered for some time, causing a great deal of damage.
