At 04:49 the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call from Devon and Cornwall Police, requesting the attendance of Cornwall Fire to a road traffic collision on the A30.

Two fire appliances from Launceston were immediately mobilised, along with the Rescue Tender from Bodmin. On arrival crews discovered one vehicle in a ditch, with one person trapped.

Crash rescue equipment was used to remove the casualty, who was left in the care of the Ambulance service. Devon and Cornwall Police were also in attendance.
