2 appliances from Liskeard were in attendance within 4 minutes of the time of call. The crews found a fire in a cupboard under the stairs. Residents in the block had to be led to safety by firefighters and those that required it were treated by paramedics on scene for smoke inhalation. The crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire using a hosereel. Arson is suspected and the police are now dealing.
